Over in Paris, interior decorator Lucy Hammond Giles has been on the (military) campaign trail, marshalling acres of fabric into Malmaison-style pleats and draping in one connoisseur's apartment. And that's not nearly all. She successfully pitched for plenty of other ingenious trics - mirrored architrave and ceilings included - which serve the owner's distinguished collection of old-master drawings exceedingly well. The result, according to David Lipton, is a victory for Anglo-French chic of the most regimented kind.
